Apprenticeships
Carlton are one of the members of the Solent Civil Engineering Employers’ Group who, in conjunction with Fareham College, are offering an exciting new Apprenticeship targeted at preparing young people and adults for a career in civil engineering occupations.
The Civil Engineering and Groundworks Apprenticeship (CEGA) includes a certification required to work with a variety of construction equipment, and is ideally suited for those looking for an outdoor career that requires energy and stamina.
CEGA will be delivered at The Civil Engineering Training Centre (CETC), and the course has been specially designed to ensure all apprentices are job ready after a twenty-week site preparation programme.
Every successful apprentice will be offered a full-time permanent position at the end of their apprenticeship with one of the Group’s employers.
The Apprenticeship lasts for 2 years, with the first 20 weeks spent at CETC undertaking intensive training to ensure you are fully-qualified and ready to work on-site. You will then spend the remainder of the Apprenticeship in full time employment, with regular visits from a Fareham College Assessor who will review your progress.
